Case Study
The FlexPicker™ beat the competition, winning the order because the delta robot could pick and place the pretzels at high speed, while reducing the scrap rate from 12 percent to 4 percent. The motion control components are appropriately named QuickMove and TrueMove.
High performance comes from advanced motion control. The control loop in the robot controller plans the movement of the manipulator, taking into account its dynamic behaviour to reduce mechanical stress. The benefits of advanced motion control were illustrated when the FlexPicker™ robot was included in the major order placed by a Swiss pretzel producing company.
